Elliot Ross is a distinguished photographer working in the American West and beyond. Through intensive and immersive projects, Elliot explores our shared landscapes—both natural and artificial—and their impact on community and culture. Named a National Geographic Explorer in 2019 by The National Geographic Society, he has published several books—Guo Pei: Couture Beyond, American Backyard, and Good Grace, which was a part of the anthology Landlines—and currently serves as a Ted Scripps Fellow at the Center for Environmental Journalism. Elliot has been a longtime contributor to National Geographic, where he has published several in-depth features, TIME, and The New York Times. His commercial clients include Rivian, Carhartt, and Calvin Klein.
